Alfred Mozer Foundation
AMS was established by the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA) as a foundation to make and maintain contact with parties in Central and Eastern Europe. The foundation is active in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Romania, and Bulgaria. AMS's main activity is providing training and schooling to social-democratic parties and groups on organizing (election) campaigns; teaching trainers; political communications and working with the media; and identifying target groups, and party renewal. Involving young people and women in politics is regarded as a priority by AMS, and many of its projects and publications receive financial support from the Matra Programme, under the auspices of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The foundation seeks to meet necessary demands and only provides courses at the request of Eastern European parties themselves, conducting training in the region. AMS has published a handbook for trainers that describes its particular methods, which are based on proven theories and many years of practical experience.
