Kansai Institute of Information Systems and Industrial Renovation
KIIS is established with the objective of promoting the development of information-processing expertise in Kansai. KIIS has developed a wide range of activities, including studies on appropriate IT patterns for the development of Kansai industries and regional technology, studies on informatization for governments and for community planning and activation, lectures and international symposiums on the promotion of IT policies, and system development and data processing programs for health insurance societies and educational organizations. KIIS took over some of the programs of the Kansai Industrial Renovation Center in April 2002, following the reorganization and integration of several foundations working in related areas.
