Austrian Association for Foreign Policy and International Relations
OEGA was founded to encourage and deepen the Austrian public's interest in foreign policy issues. OEGA acts as (1) a platform for information and discussions on foreign policy issues; (2) a forum for developing concepts and future perspectives; and (3) a meeting place for those involved in politics, economics, culture, and diplomacy at home and abroad. OEGA's activities include lectures (about two or three per month), often given at the Foreign Policy Talks (which is held every autumn for a circle of about 70 participants at Hernstein Castle in LoTheyr Austria) by foreign guests on official or unofficial visits to Austria and background talks in small circles with Austrian and foreign representatives from political and economic communities. Among OEGA's publications is the Austrian Yearbook for International Policy, which contains transcripts of lectures and analyses of current foreign policy issues and a chronicle of Austria's foreign policy.
